Can I use NoBS Remote for remote access today?
No. Screen viewing, mouse and keyboard control, clipboard, file transfer, real network transport, and relay forwarding are not customer-ready capabilities today.
What has actually been built?
Verified development foundations include persisted tenant/device state, protected enrollment, signed heartbeats, attended-consent authority, bounded revocation, Windows SessionHost process/session binding, and auditable state transitions. See Build status.
Who is NoBS Remote for?
Five audiences receive equal product attention: people helping family, independent technicians, small IT businesses/MSPs, enterprise IT, and private/high-security organizations.
Will there be a hosted service?
Yes, it is a required product direction. It is not available yet and will not be described as production-ready until deployment, isolation, backup, recovery, observability, incident response, and capacity gates pass.
Can NoBS Remote host a private environment for my organization?
A NoBS-operated dedicated-private option is planned for engagements that need it. Exact isolation, residency, operations, support, and responsibility terms remain conditional until validated and agreed.
Can I run NoBS Remote completely inside my infrastructure?
Independent self-hosting is a first-class target. The planned baseline is Linux Docker with PostgreSQL and no mandatory NoBS session-authorization service. The current development Compose setup is not a supported customer package.
How much will it cost?
Prices are not published. The commitments include clear personal/commercial licensing, a month-to-month option, cancel-anytime treatment, proration rules, no annual trap, and separate hosted/private/self-host economics.
Is NoBS Remote a TeamViewer replacement?
It is being built as an alternative, but it cannot replace a working remote-access product today. No feature parity, savings, migration readiness, or security superiority is claimed.
Which operating systems will be supported?
Commercial-GA direction requires Windows Host, Viewer, and Quick Support plus Android and iPhone/iPad Viewers. macOS and Linux Viewer/Host work is later full-platform scope. Final supported-version matrices will be based on real testing.
Does NoBS Remote support unattended access?
Not today. Unattended access is conditional and deferred by default. It requires a separately approved device-owner policy, recovery and break-glass behavior, visible local state, Stop, and compromise-response evidence.
What does applying to the Founding Pilot mean?
It starts a possible design-partner conversation. It is not a purchase, guarantee of selection, or promise of immediate product access.
